Does a Virtual Assistant need a Business License

Re: Business License

The requirements vary by city, county, and state. A quick phone call to your local county clerk will provide the answer for your local area.
Re: Business License

I have found that the folks at the Chamber of Commerce office to be very helpful and a wonderful place to start your journey. In my area the Office of the Treasure is where you apply for your license. Also make sure you know before you go in if your physical address falls into the county or the city limits. Lots of Luck!

In my case, I don't need a license to do the work I do, but I DO have to pay relative taxes to the city, county, AND the state....

You don't need any specific licenses or education. Flexible hours: The ability to work from home and create your own schedule are two reasons a VA business is so appealing.
