Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is a continuous process that includes risk identification, risk analysis and risk mitigation strategies. An integrated ERM program can help an organization identify and mitigate risks that could affect its capability to seize opportunities and achieve business goals. ERM is challenging and requires proper understanding and implementation of statutes; it must also align with organization’s goals and objectives. Instead of a silo approach, where individual business units try to manage their own risks, an integrated, enterprise-wide approach to risk management is much more effective.

Why Enterprise Risk Management?
• Penalties of unmanaged risk include eroding of shareholder value
• Stringent and rapidly changing regulatory regimes leave little room for error in risk management
• Risk is often across business units and seldom restricted to a single unit/function
